The Oldest specialized branch of Dentistry, the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacia lOrthopaedics, is spread over 7000 sq. ft.on the fifth floor of the College of Dental Sciences, DSI. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and latest innovative technologies we train undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students in Dentistry with emphasis on diagnosis and treatment planning, growth and development, biomechanics and occlusion.
With technologically advanced teaching and clinical facilities, our faculty are dedicated to providing a quality and comprehensive education, individualized to each student’s needs and goals. The School offers a varied and complete range of educational experiences for students of dentistry and dental hygiene with students benefiting from the opportunity of learning, working, and interacting with scholars, researchers, and professionals in many related areas of dentistry. Working side by side with accomplished faculty members, the students participate in the discovery of new knowledge at DSI, helping to shape the future of dental medicine and education.
The Faculty and Postgraduates treat about 50 patients every day. The patient management ranges between checking new cases, patient education on preventive and interceptive treatment modes, variety of fixed mechanotherapies to complicated orthognathic and Cleft lip/palate cases.
