  • Prosthodontics
  • Welcome to Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge

Prosthodontics is the dental specialty that treats patients with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues. The accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance, can improve the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of a patient. Dental implants, dentures, veneers, crowns and teeth whitening are used to achieve optimal oral health and aesthetics for patients.

The Department of Prosthodontics mission is to educate dental or graduate students to be skilful and proficient in the specialty of Prosthodontics. We achieve this through focus on in-depth knowledge, teaching the latest practices and evaluating clinical proficiency to provide quality prosthodontic care for patients. The Department of Prosthodontics’ curriculum is designed such that students go through simulation and class courses to learn the fundamental skills and evolve to more complex prosthodontic cases. In addition to the prosthodontic needs of the patient, students will be able to understand comprehensive care of their patient to realise optimal oral health, aesthetics and function. Courses are evaluated and updated annually for contents and are augmented with technology to teach the latest techniques in Prosthodontics. In addition, the department furthers the academic activities through faculty and residents’ research.
